So you want to know what the 3 best website/blogging systems are huh?
Good for you because that’s the foundation of your business.
You have to work with it every day so it must be something that is easy to use, has al the basic functions like formated text, inserting images and video right out of the box.
And also, not unimportant… it should not cost you your leg!!
So lets reveal the winners here shall we?
Rapapa…
On number three we have…
[drumroll please]
WordPress!
What a great system. It delivers all you ever need for your online business and super easy to install (If for whatever reason you cannot instal it yourself or simply don’t want to, I want to bring to your attention our free wordpress installation service!).
All the functions you’ll ever wanted, and if it is not included there is a wealth of plugins to choose from.
Simply because the system is so very popular, there is a plugin to be found for every functionality you can dream of.
Mostly free but some need to be bought.
You must be wondering what this monster system must cost with all those benefits right??
Well that may astonish you, bcause the cost of this is….
Zero. Nothing. As in not-a-thing, nada, zip! 🙂
So, what possibly can be on number two, and even one after this introduction of a clear winner?
Well, I’ll tell you:
On number two we have…
WordPress again!
And on number 1…?
Yes you guessed it; WORDPRESS!
Listen guys. It’s this simple.
If you want to start a website, there are really a lot of systems to choose from.
But none even comes close if you compare the out of the box functions, the user (newby) friendly-ness, availability of plugins, cost, etc, etc
But wait…. there is a downside to the use of WordPress…
Because it is so popular, WordPress is often the target for hackers!
There are 2 important things to do against this!
- Keep your WordPress installation and all the plugins up to date!
- Install a security plugin to protect you from the most common threats.
If you do this, you are better protected than 90% of the other WordPress websites out there.
As protection plugin I can recommend the free iThemes security plugin.
This plugin is fabulous. It comes with a lot of settings but most is well documented.
As a sidenote I would like to mention one more thing.
Try to keep the number of plugins to the absolute minimum!!!
Every plugin will eat up some of the resources of your webserver and thus result in a more slow and slow responding website.
Also will every plugin increase the risk to get hacked or infected because of a new discovered leak in one of the scripts the plugin is using.
